November 3 – 10, 2015 the World Food Championships will be held in Kissimmee. In previous years the competition was held in Las Vegas at Fremont Street.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that Mike McCloud, President of the World food championship released this statement:
“After three years in Las Vegas, we saw an opportunity to move our competition to a destination that affords us a chance to realize our vision of expanding and evolving our overall food experience,”

Kissimeee is outside of Orlando and contains parts of Disney World but seemed a unlikely location to replace The Las Vegas venue. Usually there is a financial reason for such a change.
