62,000 People filled the Citrus bowl on March 8, 2015 to become the second largest crowd in a debut of a MLS team. New York scored in the second half and it looks as though the final score would be 1-0 but KaKa was able to bounce a ball off of a defender on a penalty kick to tie the score and then the Orlando City Lions held off New York the rest of the way.
