A 7 star hotel is coming to Orlando in 2017 and it will be located at the corner of International and Kirkman. Abdul Mathin of The Blackmine Group said it is building the 400 million dollar complex. The idea is to offer something for Orlando travelers that is now seen in Dubai and Hong Kong. Right now that corner has a gas station, a restaurant and a Hotel. The name of that hotel is ANICE hotel and is currently renting rooms. It is not know if all that property has already been purchased prior to this announcement. The Hotel will feature a shopping mall in it’s first four floors. The hotel will have a heliport and infinity pool on the roof deck. The center of the hotel will feature natural light coming into the atrium from the huge glass sides of the building.
In the most used system for hotel ratings, AAA only goes up to five stars and only one hotel all over Orlando achieved that rating: Four Seasons at Disney. This new project hopes to get 7 stars by asking Forbes for that rating. Forbes has a different rating system for luxury hotels. Or it might be that the Company is asking for 7 stars so they will end up with 5, just a guess.
If all the projects around the International Drive area are completed, the small hotels will likely be forced out of business or knocked down for parking garages.
