Downtown Disney will become Disney Springs at some point, most likely when all the renovations are complete in 2015. A parking garage will be complete sometime in 2014 to alleviate the major parking problem that has caused headaches for years.
The Shopping, dining and entertainment complex is reachable by Disney Transportation from Your on-sight Disney Hotel and Downtown Disney Hotels. It is always a good idea to use the Disney transportation when staying at these hotels to avoid the parking problems and also in case You might want to enjoy a few adult beverages while at the complex.
